Welcome to Mandalas by Monica! I am a self-taught mandala artist, attorney, entrepreneur and mother. I created this site to share with you my passion for mandalas, painting and soulful creativity.

My journey and love for mandala art was profoundly inspired by a visit to Bhutan, a place where spirituality, nature and art merge with everyday life.  My visits to the monasteries and witnessing the monks carefully craft intricate mandalas, and spending time at the National Institute for Zorig Chusum profoundly deepened my appreciation for this sacred and timeless art form.

Inspired by the work of other artists, I’ve developed my own unique style of sweeping brushstrokes and colorful gradients. I create hand-painted mandalas on a variety of surfaces–each piece designed to bring a sense of calm to your home, office, or personal space.

Mandala Dot Art Acrylic Painting

Mandala dot art is a meditative and expressive form of painting of carefully placed dots of acrylic paint to create intricate, symmetrical patterns, often radiating from a central point. Each piece is a fusion of precision and intuition, where rhythm, balance, and color come together to form something deeply unique. Mandala in Sanskrit means circle or sacred center – a symbol of unity, balance and the infinite nature of the universe. Mandalas are known to raise the vibration of a space, offering positive energy, protection, and mindfulness. In Buddhism and Hinduism, they are considered sacred geometry that adds depth and intention to your environment.

Mandalas have been used for centuries as symbols of unity, meditation, and inner peace. They represent wholeness and the interconnectedness of all things, offering a visual journey that inspires mindfulness and tranquility. Hanging a mandala in a workspace or study area can help improve concentration and clarity. In living spaces, they can serve as visual reminders of balance, wholeness, and the interconnected nature of life.

Every mandala I create is done with intention, celebrating color, symmetry, and a reflection of peace. Using tools like styluses and brushes, I build each design layering colors one dot at a time, letting the process guide me as much as the pattern itself.

Through my work, I hope to share the beauty and calm of mandalas with you—whether as art pieces to adorn your space or as personalized creations made just for you. Thank you for visiting!
